Attractions The Land of Light offers scenery, art and culture - fantastic experiences at all times of the year - and plenty of experiences for more than just a single holiday.
This is a must in Frederikshavn.
Bangsbo gives one a seldom aesthetic experience with the Manor Bangsbo surrounded by its moat lying between The Botanical Garden and the Deer Park.
Walk the path from Møllehuset through the forest to Pikkerbakken and enjoy the view over Frederikshavn. Continue along Dronningestien (The Queens Path) which runs at the edge of the hills passing Niels Juels Canons and Bangsbo Fort (fortress).

The 8 km long Kongestien (The Kings Path) also start at Bangsbo and brings you through the whole area f.ex. will you pass 60 graves from the iron age.
In the outskirt of the area you pass Vandværksskoven, a beautiful forest with a lake and Cloostårnet, a tower from which you can enjoy the view from 160 m over sea level.

Tour suggestions:
Se the town either on a trip by bike, at foot or on a tour with your car.
Frederikshavn Guide (there is a link at the web frontpage) contains 2 suggestions for bicycle trips. There is one trip to the north to f.ex. Palmestranden (the palm beach) and a trip to the south to the Bangsbo Area. The town center is better experienced at foot, and you will also find this suggestion in Frederikshavn Guide.
On the 40 km long car tour you will see it all, Palmestranden, the hilly countryside west of the town, Bangsbo and the hills to the south with the fantastic view both over the sea and over the landscape.
An English version can be collected at the Tourist Office.
